Dress Code

Dancers should come to class in clothing that allows them to move comfortably and gives instructors a clear view of alignment and technique. Hair should be secured away from the face. Please find your dancer’s class style below for specific clothing and shoe requirements.

  • Hair for all Jump Start classes: Hair should be secured away from the face in a bun, braid, or ponytail. Short hair should be pulled away from the face.

    Ballet
    Clothing: Leotard with solid-colored tights or leggings. Leotards may have an attached skirt or tutu.
    Shoes: Pink ballet shoes.

    Ballet/Tap
    Clothing: Leotard with solid-colored tights or leggings. Leotards may have an attached skirt or tutu.
    Shoes: Pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes.

    Jazz/Acro
    Clothing: Leotard or form-fitting top with leggings or shorts. No bra tops.
    Shoes: Bare feet.

    Jazz/Tap
    Clothing: Leotard with solid-colored tights or leggings. Leotards may have an attached skirt or tutu.
    Shoes: black tap shoes and barefoot or pirouettes.

  • Clothing: Leotard or form-fitting top with leggings or shorts. No bra tops.

    Shoes: Bare feet.

  • Clothing: Skirted leotard with solid-colored tights or leggings.

    Shoes: Pink ballet shoes.

  • Clothing: Leotard or form-fitting top with leggings or shorts. No bra tops.

    Shoes: Pirouettes.

    Hair: Hair should be secured away from the face in a bun, braid, or ponytail. Short hair should be pulled away from the face.

  • Clothing: Comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows dancers to move freely. No bra tops.

    Shoes: Black tap shoes.

    Hair: Hair should be secured away from the face in a bun, braid, or ponytail. Short hair should be pulled away from the face.

  • Clothing: Leotard with a wrap skirt and solid-colored tights.

    Shoes: Pink ballet shoes. Pointe students will also need pink pointe shoes.

    Hair: Hair should be secured away from the face in a bun, braid, or ponytail. Short hair should be pulled away from the face.
