Tuition FAQs
Have a question about tuition? Find answers to some of our most common questions below.
-
SDA uses inclusive tuition, which means many of the expenses families would normally pay separately throughout the year are built into your monthly payment. This includes your dancer’s class, registration, a recital costume, recital ticket, recital video, and photo session. By spreading these costs across the season, families have fewer unexpected expenses along the way.
-
Monthly tuition is not based on the number of classes attended or offered in a particular month. Your payment holds your dancer’s place in class and remains the same throughout the season, including months with holidays, studio closures, recital activities, or a different number of class days.
Monthly tuition is paid in full for dancers starting mid-month.
-
No. You may end your enrollment during the season by submitting a Drop Request Form. Requests must be received by the last day weekday of the month to avoid tuition charges for the following month. Tuition already paid for the current month is not refunded or credited.
-
Tuition is automatically charged to the card saved to your account on the 1st of each month.
-
Tuition inclusions are connected to active enrollment and are not refundable or transferable. If you drop a class before an inclusion has been received, that inclusion is forfeited.
-
Because inclusive tuition spreads recital-related expenses across the full season, dancers joining later in the year pay a one-time catch-up fee for the months they missed. The fee is $17–$24 per missed month depending on the class program and applies only to performing classes. Tech classes do not have a catch-up fee.

“There really aren’t enough words to ever thank you for just how kind you have been to us, not only this past year, but always. You have such a loving and giving heart and we feel so lucky to be a part of your Sherwood Dance.”
