Dancing, Emotions, & Friends, by Olivia

My name is Olivia and I have been dancing at SDA since I was four. I love dance for many reasons, but these are just a few of them.

I am currently taking two classes - Lyrical and Showstoppers, but I’ve also taken Ballet, Jazz/Tap, Acro, and HipHop in the past. I love dancing to show my emotions, like in Lyrical. I like to take my time and really stretch through the song.

I also love dancing because it makes me happy! Like, say I’ve had a bad day at school. I can always count on dance to cheer me up! The amazing staff at SDA are so kind and caring too. I know I can trust them and I enjoy being around them!

Of course, I also love being with my fellow dancers! I love to be around them because they make me smile and laugh. Especially my friends, Louisa and Gemma, who are in the same classes that I’m in. That is why I love to dance.
