It’s been such an amazing summer! Inside at the studio, we’ve watched our Dance Family meet new friends and continue a passion for dance with old friends. We’re gearing up for our 2025-26 Dance Season, but before then, we have our Summer Showcase!

Time: Saturday, August 23rd at 10:30am
Location: Stella Olsen Park, 22256 SW Washington St, Sherwood, OR 97140
At the covered stage.
What to wear: Unless your instructor has directed otherwise, wear your classroom attire.
Cost: $0, nothing, nada, zilch!
Additional Info:

This is a very low-key, fun event for our dance family to come together and celebrate each other. 

  • Seating is on the grass (see pic).  Please save the front half of the lawn for those sitting on blankets or low profile chairs (chairs 0-8 inches off the ground).

  • Arrive 15-20 minutes early.

  • Parking can be difficult, so please carpool if possible.

  • We expect the show to be less than 90 minutes. We’ll be releasing a lineup, but we encourage everyone to be there for the whole show to support the hard work of all our dancers.

  • Feel free to bring snacks and an early lunch!

Ongoing Dance Education

Developing a life long love of dance is one of our greatest passions. We are in our final month of enrollment before the 2025-26 Dance Season and we would love to continue dancing with you! We have a lot of full classes, particularly in our Jump Start program. But if you don’t see a spot open in a class you want, get on the wait list - We’ll either contact you when a spot opens or we’ll get a good idea of where the need is and open new classes.

Do Something You Love

Our mission at SDA is Empowering Students and Community Through Dance and this month our focus is on Doing Something You Love! Doing the things you love helps you reconnect with who you truly are. Whether it’s dancing, drawing, reading, or just being outside, those moments fill you up and remind you of your unique spark. When you make time for what brings you joy, you feel stronger, more confident, and more like you—and that’s empowering.

Watch for our Practicing Gratitude worksheet this month. Have your dancer complete the worksheet during and bring it to the office for a chance to pick a prize out of our treasure box!

September 23rd: The 2025-26 Dance Season begins!
